Awaken Your Super Powers
I think of all the things I want to accomplish in life. Which route do I take? Obviously the easiest one that will help me finish all my goals faster. I believe I'm the type of person that has way too many tabs opened in my brain. I'll want to achieve everything which gets me distracted from practical goals that I should be focusing on. Yes, a girl can dream , but it takes a lot to narrow my focus and reach my full potential.
Can you relate?
Here are some tricks to awaken your super powers.
1. Break it Down On A Piece Of Paper/ Phone
Everything that I need to do every week is always written down in my notebook. From bills, events, reminders, goals, shopping etc...
Your brain + mind sometimes needs a break and you need to release that stress onto a piece of paper for you to clear your head. Imagine writing down your goals and being able to cross it out or check marking it when its done. Its the best feeling in the world! You can even write down simple short term goals you would like to achieve or write down quotes that will motivate you to chase your goals. Don't need to dream, write it down and live it . Even a white board placed somewhere in your room helps you visualize your goals and tasks every morning.
2. Exercise
Sometimes you wake up in the morning and you always want to keep pressing that snooze button, until you realize you are late for work or class. You are so tired and you need energy in the morning to even keep yourself motivated to accomplish everything for that day. Pick up your head phones, pick your favourite playlist and do some cardio. It definitely will help get you back on track.
3. Pep Talks
There are some people around me that I can definitely go to when I just need that extra motivation. Instead of listening to music on your way to work, download some motivational podcasts and simply listen. ( TONY ROBBINS). You can find him on YouTube and watch some videos for free. He talks about all the aspects and steps to success and will blow your mind !
4. Environment
The best way to stay focused is to clean the places you work at. It can be your room or in your office, but make sure it has that natural light and is aesthetically pleasing. Also, every morning , do simple things like making your bed and organizing everything in your room so everything is not all over the place. Its a task done every morning that seems like its small but is actually a little victory , and when you start your day off with a victory, the momentum carries throughout your day and you have more little wins and maybe some big ones too. I know if I walk into a messy room I will feel stressed and I wouldn't be able to find anything I need.
Environment can also be a social factor. You should hang out with people who have similar mindsets as you. The negativity in certain people can put you down and that's something you need to fight off in order to be on track again. Don't worry about what people say, but be around people who will encourage you throughout your days to do better and vice versa.
5. Dress For Success
You can have anything you want , if you dress for it. People say looks don't matter, but the way you dress reflects your self image, attitude, confidence and state of mind. I used to go to 8am classes looking my laziest back in first year of university. I look at all these people who look absolutely amazing and ask how they have so much time to look that good. But those are the people who will make it throughout the day with a clear state of mind and confidence and probably felt the best every morning.
Its never too late to be what you might have been. So awaken your super powers <3
